Which night suits you?

Our weekly nights

Session

Tuesdays · 8:00–9:30pm · Ages 14+ · £10 entry, £13 with skate hire
A bright, calm practice session for self-guided skating at Rollerstop. The house lights stay up and the rink sound system is off, so bring headphones and control your own music. Capacity is capped so you have room to work. Best for skaters with some experience.

Rollerstop Nights

Thursdays · 7:30–10:00pm · Ages 16+ · £10 entry, £13 with skate hire
Get your skates on, spin around the rink and dance to the music under the sparkling disco lights. Learn new skate moves, weave through the skate slalom, or see how low you can go at roller limbo. Our longest adult session.

Retro Roller Disco

Saturdays · 8:00–10:00pm · Ages 16+ · £12 entry, £15 with skate hire
Let’s go back, way back to the disco. Saturday night on the rink with the disco lights up, our biggest adult night of the week.

Seasonal events

Once-a-month nights with a twist

Rhythm

One Friday a month · 8:00–10:00pm · Ages 16+ · £10 entry, £13 with skate hire
Slower grooves to jam your moves. One Friday a month the Rollerstop DJs drop R&B, hip hop, house and garage all night, leaving you a dope beat to step to. Got your moves or finding your groove, Rhythm is for everyone.

Late Skate

One Friday a month · 8:00–10:00pm · Ages 16+ · £10 entry, £13 with skate hire
Roller disco slightly transformed, a break from the norm. Each Late Skate brings two full hours of music from one genre or artist, with guest DJs from Subcity Radio on the decks.

Everything you need to get rolling

Skate hire

Hire is available on every adult night, with over 400 pairs from child size 6 up to an adult size 14. The hire price is shown beside each ticket option, so there is nothing unexpected at checkout. Bring your own skates if you prefer — all types are welcome.

On-rink support

Plenty of people come along for their first time. Our staff are experienced skaters and are on the floor throughout to help you find your feet. Wristguards, helmets, knee and elbow pads are all free to use, and we can help you get the right fit.

Some info for your visit

Is there free car parking?

Yes, there is on-street parking. At peak times it can get very busy, especially during the school holidays, so you might not be able to find a space. It may be easier to park at Shields Road Subway station, which is a few minutes walk from the rink.

What public transport links are nearby?

Rollerstop is very accessible by public transport! We’re just a few minutes walk from both Kinning Park and Shields Road Subway stations. If travelling by bus, McGill’s 38 and First’s 9 go down Paisley Road West, which is right next to the rink.

Is there somewhere to get food?

Yes, we have a cafe inside the venue, serving a range of meals and snacks, with dairy-free and gluten-free options too. Please note the cafe doesn’t serve hot food at Adult sessions, and is closed during Adult Lessons (but we have a vending machine selling drinks and snacks).

Can I bring my own snacks, drinks or food?

No. Please support our in-rink cafe – no food or drink from outside is permitted in our venue.

Are there lockers for belongings?

Yes, lockers cost 50p which is non-returnable once the door is locked. 4 Week-pass holders get access to free lockers.

Is there a bar?

No, drinking and roller skating don’t mix! NO ALCOHOL is permitted on the premises. We ask that you save the drinking until after you’ve skated – you’ll have worked up a thirst!

Questions about the adult nights

If you want music and disco lights, book Rollerstop Nights, Late Skate or Retro Roller Disco. Our Session nights are different – it’s a practice session with the house lights up and the rink sound system off, and it’s best for skaters who already have some experience.

Rollerstop Nights, Late Skate and Retro Roller Disco are ages 16 and over. Session is ages 14 and over.

You’re never too old! If you’re still active and healthy, it shouldn’t be a problem for you to skate, but please do read the info below regarding any health concerns you may have – this applies for any age!

Yes, we have over 400 pairs starting in child size 6 up to an adult size 14. Please note we need to disinfect and quarantine skates after each use, so your first choice of skates may not be available.

Absolutely, but it’s up to you to ensure they are safe to use. All types of skates are welcome.

Anything which is comfortable and doesn’t restrict your movement. If you’re hiring skates, you MUST HAVE SOCKS. If you don’t bring socks with you, you can buy some from our skate shop.

Wristguards, helmets, knee– and elbow-pads are available for all skaters, for free, at all sessions. You’re welcome to bring your own – this is encouraged for first time skaters. At the very least, we strongly recommend that you wear wristguards.

No – skating is a potentially dangerous activity, so if you’re not sure then you shouldn’t skate. We highly recommend that you don’t skate if you suffer from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, brittle bones, joint injuries, or any other condition that could be aggravated by this activity. If you’re pregnant, or suspect that you could be, you should not take part in this activity. If you’re still unsure, speak to your GP before you come.

Refunds can be given if you cancel no less than 7 days before the event. If cancellation notice is given between 24 hours and 6 days before the event, you can request a Gift Card to the value of your ticket(s), and you can use it to book another time. If you notify us on the day, or after the event took place, you are not eligible for a Gift Card or refund.

Sold-out dates stay on the calendar and are labelled, so you can see at a glance which nights still have space and pick another date.
