Some info for your visit
Is there free car parking?
Yes, there is on-street parking. At peak times it can get very busy, especially during the school holidays, so you might not be able to find a space. It may be easier to park at Shields Road Subway station, which is a few minutes walk from the rink.
What public transport links are nearby?
Rollerstop is very accessible by public transport! We’re just a few minutes walk from both Kinning Park and Shields Road Subway stations. If travelling by bus, McGill’s 38 and First’s 9 go down Paisley Road West, which is right next to the rink.

Can I bring my own snacks, drinks or food?

Questions about the adult nights
Which night should I book?
If you want music and disco lights, book Rollerstop Nights, Late Skate or Retro Roller Disco. Our Session nights are different – it’s a practice session with the house lights up and the rink sound system off, and it’s best for skaters who already have some experience.
What age do I need to be?
Rollerstop Nights, Late Skate and Retro Roller Disco are ages 16 and over. Session is ages 14 and over.
Am I too old to skate at the disco?
You’re never too old! If you’re still active and healthy, it shouldn’t be a problem for you to skate, but please do read the info below regarding any health concerns you may have – this applies for any age!
Are there skates available to hire?
Yes, we have over 400 pairs starting in child size 6 up to an adult size 14. Please note we need to disinfect and quarantine skates after each use, so your first choice of skates may not be available.
Can I bring my own skates?
Absolutely, but it’s up to you to ensure they are safe to use. All types of skates are welcome.
What should I wear to the roller disco?
Anything which is comfortable and doesn’t restrict your movement. If you’re hiring skates, you MUST HAVE SOCKS. If you don’t bring socks with you, you can buy some from our skate shop.
What protective equipment is provided?
Wristguards, helmets, knee– and elbow-pads are available for all skaters, for free, at all sessions. You’re welcome to bring your own – this is encouraged for first time skaters. At the very least, we strongly recommend that you wear wristguards.
I have a health concern, should I skate?
No – skating is a potentially dangerous activity, so if you’re not sure then you shouldn’t skate. We highly recommend that you don’t skate if you suffer from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, brittle bones, joint injuries, or any other condition that could be aggravated by this activity. If you’re pregnant, or suspect that you could be, you should not take part in this activity. If you’re still unsure, speak to your GP before you come.
I bought a ticket but can no longer attend, can I get a refund?
Refunds can be given if you cancel no less than 7 days before the event. If cancellation notice is given between 24 hours and 6 days before the event, you can request a Gift Card to the value of your ticket(s), and you can use it to book another time. If you notify us on the day, or after the event took place, you are not eligible for a Gift Card or refund.
What if a night is sold out?
Sold-out dates stay on the calendar and are labelled, so you can see at a glance which nights still have space and pick another date.
